The Honest Kitchen focuses on dehydrated and freeze-dried food alongside canned recipes, treats and a small kibble selection, mostly for dogs with a smaller cat range.

The dehydrated food is what the brand is known for: it arrives dry and is rehydrated with warm water before serving, so a box holds a lot more food than its size suggests — read the yield on the box rather than the weight when comparing prices. The Pour Overs and bone broths are meant as toppers over an existing meal rather than as complete food, so check the label before treating one as a full diet. Base mixes are a different thing again: they are combined with your own cooked meat.
