Primal

Primal makes raw and freeze-dried food for both dogs and cats, plus raw toppers, goat milk and supplements. The split between dogs and cats is close to even.

The freeze-dried nuggets and Pronto pieces are shelf-stable, so they store in the cupboard and are rehydrated with warm water before serving — the practical way to feed raw without clearing freezer space. The frozen raw and the goat milk do need a freezer, and are thawed in the fridge rather than on the counter. Market Mix and Butcher's Blend are toppers rather than complete meals, meant to be added to an existing diet. Frozen items here are limited to local delivery in Vancouver and North and West Vancouver, or pickup in Kitsilano.
