Boreal

Boreal is a Canadian brand covering dogs and cats in dry kibble, canned food and a few treats, weighted toward dog kibble.

The range is organised by protein and by life stage rather than by condition, which keeps the choice simple: pick the stage — puppy, adult, senior — then the protein. Recipes run from single-protein grain-free options through to traditional blends with grains, so there is a route through the line whether or not you are avoiding grain. The cat cans come in small sizes worth buying singly to test before committing to a case. Switching between recipes within a brand is usually easier on a stomach than switching brands, but still worth doing over a few days.
